Hi, I’m Adam. I offer personalised law tuition in Fareham, Hampshire, but I can travel to you* or do online law tuition.
*I am happy to travel to places such as Gosport, Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester.
I started as a law tutor over nine years ago (in 2010). Since then I have helped many people to perform better in their law studies.
Depending on your needs, tuition is focused on law theory, exam technique as well as structure. Law exams are intimidating to many learners, but I can help you to prepare for exams with a better understanding of what the marker is looking for.
I am experienced in tutoring a number of law areas. I have helped university students as well as mature students studying on degree level distance learning courses, such as the Open University. Whether you are a student at university or a mature student, do not worry, I have helped many people like you before and it would be my pleasure to help you.
Am I legally qualified?
I am a non-practising solicitor (non-practising, as I am tutoring, rather than working in a law firm). I did work for a number of years in law firms, had my own cases, etc. Unlike many law tutors I have an understanding of what happens in reality when a legal issue arises.
When do I offer law tuition?
Weekdays: Sessions could take place between 9am and 9pm weekdays. I may be flexible on times, depending on your needs.
Weekends: One-off weekend sessions may also alternatively be possible.
Where does tuition take place?
I am based in Fareham, but I may be also able to come to you if you live within around 30 minutes of Fareham (e.g. Portsmouth/Gosport/Portchester/Southampton/Waterlooville, etc.). If you are not in my local area, we may be able to do online tuition via Skype.
Which law areas do I offer help with?
I have academic as well as practical experience of a number of law areas. The main law areas I offer tuition in are as follows:
If your area is not mentioned above, this does not necessarily mean I cannot help. Please get in contact with me, so we can talk about your needs.
Law Customer Reviews
Some things people have said about me and my law tuition services are:

‘He has extensive knowledge of many areas of the law and is able to make it very understandable. I would not have got such good marks without his help, highly recommended!‘
‘Adam is a very efficient and knowledgable tutor. I am doing a law degree with the OU and my marks have considerably improved since my weekly tutorials with him.‘

I try to keep my pricing affordable to students, as I appreciate tuition should not just be available to the rich.
Approximate prices for law tuition based on you coming to me (for weekly sessions) are:
|Number of People||Approx pricing|
|Two people||£28.50 - £30 per hour |
(= £14.25 - £15/hour per person)
|Three people||£38 - £42 per hour |
(£12.67 - £14/hour per person)
|More than three people||Please contact me|
I charge extra for travel, but I try to keep travel costs low. For more details please contact me.
Short-term or intensive tuition may be more than that shown above. The reason for this is the nature of this tuition normally involves a lot more time on doing preparation.
Why choose me as your law tutor?
I am a Solicitor (non-practising) who has both academic knowledge and years of experience working in legal roles. As well as helping you to understand legal rules, I can help you to understand how the law operates in real-life.
If you can understand how the different legal rules operate in real-life, you will approach exam questions in a much more logical way than students who only have book knowledge.
I hope that I have given you an idea of what I offer and how I could help you with your law studies. You may also see more information about me on my About Me page here. That page talks about my legal background from an academic and professional perspective.
Whatever the reason for considering private law tuition, I would love to hear from you. Whether you are yet in a position to book law tuition or not, I would love to hear from you.
